Knodel’s Feels Backlash from Ferguson Riots

For those who haven’t heard already, Knodel’s was the unfortunate victim of the Ferguson violence. Our store was broken into on Monday night amid the damage to other local businesses.

The news came out to document our damage. You can hear what our Contessa has to say in this video.

We want you to know that we are still here for you. With over 100 years in business and 60 years at our current location, we have no plans on moving or shutting down. Knodel’s Bakery will be here for all of your sweet treat needs through thick and thin.

Thank you to those who have shown their support for us and given words of encouragement. Here are some kind words from Mike S.:

I’ve lived in Jennings for years when I was younger, as a child, a
teenager, and a young adult. I’ve always been a loyal customer. And I
still think you’re the greatest. My father said your business was
attacked from the Michael brown riots. I hope everyone is ok…I hope you’ll be back soon.
Lots of love

Thank you, Mike, for your kind words and continued business. This too shall pass and we look forward to serving you and the rest of St. Louis for years to come!
